TTUHSC Honors Nursing School Donors

February 19, 2010

The Perry School of Nursing hosted a luncheon Thursday at the International Cultural Center to honor its donors and included faculty, staff and student speakers. Ryan Bullard, a former military paramedic who also opened a clinic for those in need in Nicaragua, was among many nursing students who benefited from a scholarship given by donors to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Anita Thigpen Perry School of Nursing.

F. Marie Hall Institute for Rural and Community Endowment Receives Additional Gift

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Interim President Elmo Cavin announced Ms. F. Marie Hall has added to the endowment of the institute that bears her name. In February 2006, Ms. Hall created the F. Marie Hall Institute for Rural and Community Health. Ms. Hall’s investment endowed one of the premier centers for rural and health excellence in the United States.

Littleton-Anglin Families: Donor Spotlight

December 18, 2009

Their gift has established the Littleton-Anglin Families Endowment Fund for Parkinson’s Disease Research at the School of Medicine at Lubbock. LZ and Zada Anglin, James A. Littleton, Jr., and J.A. and Rene Littleton, this gift will support clinician salaries, specialized equipment and scholarships as well as training and other educational programs.

Littleton-Anglin Family Presents Gift for Parkinson’s Disease Endowment

Researchers at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will benefit from a generous gift from the Littleton-Anglin Family of West Texas. A gift of $260,000 was presented to the TTUHSC Department of Neurology for the establishment of the Littleton-Anglin Families Endowment Fund for Parkinson’s Disease Research.

Covenant Health System Endows Chair for Stroke Research

October 20, 2009

Creating a new partnership for stroke research on the South Plains, Covenant Health System announced a $1 million gift on Oct. 20 to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, establishing the Covenant Health System Endowed Chair in Cerebrovascular Disease.
